Holiday home at the Baltic coast of Blekinge

From year to year the Blekinge region attracts more and more visitors. With the most southern skerries, its location at the sea, deep forests, open cultural landscape, varied nature and fascinating history, Blekinge has not groundless deserved the name "The garden of Sweden" and presents basically something like Sweden as a miniature version.
In Blekinge you will find charming summer towns, sleepy fishing villages and a beautiful varied vegetation. That doesn´t matter where you spend your holidays in Blekinge, it is seldom more than one hour distance to attractions, sights and cultural treasures.

This holiday home, which has been built in 2011, is located at the farmstead of your landlord, who carries on farming of cows, and it offers a beautiful view of the surrounding fields. Your nearest neighbor is your landlord himself who lives 150 meters away.
The holiday home has a shower and WC, a completely furnished/equipped kitchen for self-catering, a combined kitchen/living room in an open room solution as well as two bedrooms and a bedloft under the roof with six beds.

In addition there is a guest cabin with four beds at the property which you can extra rent when required. All this will be completed by a lovely terrace with furniture and grill for cosy barbecue evenings which you can spend together. From here you can see sometimes one or the other moose/elk passing the adjoining fields.

The holiday home is only 300 meters away from the Baltic, where you will have a place for bathing and a harbor for small boats. Fishing at the coast is free of charge, which means that you can go fishing here for hake, brown trout and cod. A boat with motor can be rented from the landlord. Another interesting place for fishing is the river "Mörrumsån", which is well-known for its large salmons und which is 4,5 kilometers away.

If you prefer to rock instead of fishing, then you should come to visit the Sweden Rock Festival in June. The festival ground is only 4 kilometers away fom the holiday home.

Because of the location at the European route E22, you can arrive here from all directions fast and conveniently. About 15 kilometer away from the house you will find the towns of Sölvesborg and Olofström, the nearest golf course is 5 kilometers away and to reach the town of Karlshamn you have to cover a distance of about 15 kilometers.

Infos about the region Blekinge

Blekinge is very interesting for those who are fascinated by history: It had a very eventful past. Until 1658, Blekinge was a part of Denmark and was the place where many battles between Sweden and Denmark took place. Since the so called “Treaty of Roskilde”, Blekinge belongs to Sweden, together with Halland and Scania.
Blekinge, located in the South of Sweden at the Hanö Bay, is Sweden’s smallest historical Province on the land by size. Since it is rich in nature, its name “Garden of Sweden” was not given without a reason. The distance to Denmark or the Baltic states is shorter than the distance to Stockholm. But since it is Sweden’s smallest historical province on the land, the ways are never long within the province. Deep forests with lakes and rivers with rich fish sources are there as well as meadows and pastures. The wooded skerries and shimmering bathing bays are near, as well as the lively cities. The most well-known of them is Karlskrona, Sweden’s only baroque city, which has a marine port declared a UNESCO world heritage.
So, if you can’t choose between city and nature, or if you simply don’t want to, and if you don’t want to travel to far up north, then Blekinge is your right choice!
